Welcome to College to Work Africa

Founded in 2018 by a Ugandan employment and labour market expert, College to Work Africa (CWA) is a social enterprise that provides a range of labour market entry services targeting mainly graduates from universities, colleges and other training institutions.

CWA’s services fall under three main categories: job search support; career guidance; reskilling and retraining. CWA’s services improves the preparedness of the graduate for the job market which effectives raises their chances of finding a job either as a paid or self-employed worker.

About the Founder

Samuel Bbosa is an international development expert and consultant whose expertise centres mainly on labour markets, employment policy, youth employment programs, green jobs and research. Over the past 15 years, Sam has extensively conducted labour market analyses and designed youth employment concepts aimed at strengthening employment outcomes for development programs with agencies such as GIZ, ACDI/VOCA, IFAD and ENABEL among others. As a seasoned consultant with the UN’s International Labour Organisation, Sam has also led the formulation of national employment policies and programs for Somalia and South Sudan and has contributed to the formulation process of the national employment policy for Uganda and Rwanda. Sam is an ITC-Certified Trainer and has previously delivered the Employment Promotion module to four cohorts at the African Regional Labour Administration Centre in Harare Zimbabwe. A Mo Ibrahim Fellow of Governance in Development, Sam holds an MSc Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (UK), a BSc in Population Studies and a Higher Diploma in Marketing all form Makerere University Kampala. Sam has also received training in research mythologies and implementation, development economics, policy analysis and evaluations. Through College to Work Africa, Sam seeks to contribute more directly and effectively to youth employment by directly engaging with the youth and building their capacities to engage with the world of work.
